Using AI Tools to Clean Up Lists

Every day, I find myself using AI tools to tidy up lists and text for various tasks.

For example, I recently had a list of companies that looked messy and unstructured:

Apart from offending my sense of neatness, this disorganised list made it tricky to copy and paste into other tasks or searches.

I just pasted the list into ChatGPT, asked it to "fix it up," and it instantly understood what I wanted.

It removed inconsistent variants like "Inc." and "Inc" and produced a much cleaner result:

Simple and effective.

I could then refine the output further without needing to re-paste it. For instance, I could ask AI to remove the bullets if they weren't useful for the task or request the list in CSV format for easy download.

... and so on.
