Scammer Payback: Going After the Scammers

After my mum was scammed out of her life savings, I started researching scams and came across "Scammer Payback" and the concept of "scambaiters."

One notable scambaiter is a guy called Pierogi. He’s created countless satisfying videos where he disrupts scammer operations, ethically hacks their machines, warns victims, posts scammer photos and addresses publicly, and alerts authorities internationally. In some cases, his efforts have even led to arrests.

These videos are not only incredibly educational but also hugely entertaining. Pierogi often spends hours engaging with scammers, frustrating and distracting them from targeting real victims. He adopts the voice of an older person so convincingly that it’s both effective and hilarious.

I highly recommend checking out his channel. This example video is a great introduction to his work.
