Get AI to Draw Your Org Chart Diagram

It turns out you can get AI tools to generate diagrams for you - in a two step process using "mermaid" which converts text into structured diagrams.

(Thank you Philip for pointing out mermaid.live to me 🙂)

So I took the text-based org chart from this article and added one level at the top called "The Board". (Names are fictional.)

Then I just copy/pasted that into an AI tool (ChatGPT and Claude can both easily handle this) and asked this...

I got back this...

which you can just paste into https://mermaid.live

And it generates a chart for you!

How cool is that?
